Getting started with ReviewTrix

Install ReviewTrix from the Shopify App Store, approve permissions, and follow this setup path.

1. Install the app

Open the Shopify App Store listing and click Add app. Approve requested scopes (including read_orders for review-request emails). Confirm Home shows shop status INSTALLED.

2. Enable widgets

1. Open Widget settings — set accent color, reviews per page, and whether the storefront form is enabled.
2. In the theme editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize):
   • Enable the app embed if offered
   • Add star rating and review list blocks on the product template
3. Save the theme. No Liquid code edits are required.

3. Reviews workflow

1. Open Reviews — queues: Pending, Approved, Rejected.
2. Approve reviews you want public; hide or delete spam.
3. Free plan: published (approved) reviews are capped at 100. Upgrade on Billing if you hit the limit.

4. Import existing reviews (optional)

Open Imports, download the sample CSV, upload your file, and fix any row errors from the error report. One-click competitor or marketplace URL import is not available yet.

5. Review-request emails

1. After orders are fulfilled, ReviewTrix schedules review-request emails within your plan delays and monthly allowance (Free 50 / Pro 1,000 per UTC month).
2. Check Review requests for Scheduled / Sent / Failed status.
3. Submissions still appear under Pending until you approve them.

6. Billing

Open Billing for Free vs Pro ($19/month, 14-day trial). Upgrade uses Shopify’s billing flow.
