Privacy Policy

ReviewTrix ("we", "us") operates reviewtrix.algorithmtrix.com and the ReviewTrix Shopify application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit the marketing site or use the app.

Information we collect

• Shopify store data — shop domain, install status, billing entitlements, and identifiers needed to run the app
• Review workflow data— ratings, titles, bodies, media keys, moderation state, Q&A, incentives configuration, and import job metadata
• Order-derived snapshots — limited fulfillment and customer contact fields required to schedule review-request emails
• Marketing site — contact form submissions and essential cookies / optional analytics

How we use information

We use information to provide moderation, widgets, review requests, imports, billing enforcement, integrations you connect (for example Klaviyo or Gorgias), and to improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Shopify, merchants, and processors

When installed on a Shopify store, ReviewTrix processes store and customer data as a service provider on behalf of the merchant. Merchants are responsible for their own privacy notices to end customers. Shopify remains the source of truth for products, customers, and orders.

Compliance webhooks (GDPR-oriented)

We respond to Shopify compliance webhooks used for privacy law compliance (including GDPR-related customer requests):

• customers/data_request — locate matching review and request records for merchant fulfillment
• customers/redact — anonymize or clear customer identifiers on reviews and cancel related request emails
• shop/redact — after uninstall (~48 hours), delete shop-scoped application data
• app/uninstalled — mark the shop uninstalled and remove sessions; review data is retained until shop redaction

Retention

While a shop is installed, we retain review workflow data needed for moderation and display. We do not delete merchant data solely because of a Free↔Pro plan change. After shop redaction, shop-scoped data is hard-deleted.

Security and logging

Access is authenticated via Shopify. We avoid logging review bodies, customer emails, access tokens, or CSV contents. Operational logs use shop domain and resource IDs where needed.

Cookies

The marketing site uses essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not currently set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide a consent mechanism where required. You can still control cookies through your browser settings.
